If you have wondered what I’ve been up to the past week, this is most of it:
- Stressing out about International Dinner.
- Stressing out about meeting The Parents.
- Stressing out about International Dinner.
- Stressing out about homework.
- Doing homework.
- Trying out recipes for International Dinner.
- Stressing out about International Dinner.
- Meeting The Parents.
- Reflecting on meeting The Parents.
- Stressing out about International Dinner.
- Trying out recipes for International Dinner.
- Stressing out about International Dinner, but not quite so bad, because people seem to really like the recipes I’ve prepared.
And besides the stress, I’m doing great. Really great. So worry not, dearest readers.

Instead of flowers, John got me crayons for Valentine’s Day. Now THAT is a man who understands me.

So. Basically, I have sinned against nature.
I’ve got this very, very wonderful boyfriend named John who lives in Johnson County.
Meanwhile, I live in Douglas County.
And there’s a bit of a feud between the two, if you hadn’t guessed. Now, perhaps it’s all the mind of us Douglas-dwellers, making a rivalry up just because we’ve got an inferiority complex. But we’re completely convinced that Johnson County people think they’re better than us, with their bigass SUVs and whatnot.
So either this will end up some dramatic Montague/Capulet war with lots of dying and and excitement, or it will turn out that the feud was in fact a creation of the county’s collective neuroses and really of no consequence whatsoever.

If you’ll recall, back in December, I wrote a letter to Santa, with a list of things that I wanted for Christmas.
As I recall, I didn’t get any of them as Christmas gifts, but now they’re trickling in.
better health
an iPod
a nice boy who can make me both laugh and think
Of course, there were more things on the list, but I have a feeling some of the others may follow as a result of #3.
(And I will also claim #3 as an excuse for not posting frequently, which you should all appreciate because it would just come out all gushy and lame and undignified.)
I am, however, still watching for that stockpile of Blue Sky Organic soda.
