I started the Everyday Haiku category as a way to write short posts when I lacked the inspiration to write anything more substantial. And my readers seem to like it, so I’m going to keep it up. I felt the itch to write something tonight. I had a thousand false starts with a thousand more thoughtful topics, but this was the first thing that fit the 17-syllable format. Surely there’s a hidden message to that.
