Gmail gives up

Gmail’s spam filtering was the reason I use their service.

Apparently Gmail decided the war on spam is unwinnable. Instead of filtering out all the junk mail, it’s just leaving it in my inbox. It’s still catching some spam, but not much.

This started last night. Is it just me?

  2. My Gmail spam filter still seems to be working fine, but I imagine I must get a much lower volume of spam than you. It’ll be a bummer if they really do give up!

  5. gmail still works really well for me. my university account will be terminated in summer so i am slowly going to move across to gmail. so far i am very happy with it! although i guess not a lot of people know my gmail address and so that might be the reason why i don’t receive a lot of spam. hope it gets better for you!

  6. Apparently it was a 24-hour flu. Everyone on the Gmail support group was complaining, and then suddenly it went back to normal. Ah, beta software.
