The silver anniversary
Before Mom and Dad became Mom and Dad, they were really cute. Today is their 25th wedding anniversary, so I thought I’d dig up the wedding album and show off just how adorable they were back in 1979.
This is Mom, age 22. She told me that at this moment, she had about $29 to her name.
This is Dad, age 23. He experimented with the beard off and on until my first sister was born. Since then, he only tried it once more and was vetoed by pretty much everyone in the house. I would also like to point out how thin he is in this picture. Apparently when he met Mom, he’d been single for a while and had been working out a lot. He quit working out soon after. He’s still just as adorable, just with some gray hair and a gut.
This is Mom with her parents. Check out Grandpa’s awesome glasses and killer threads. He may be poor, but he’s stylin’.
And here we have the freshly married couple, off to discover wedded bliss.
Can I say: Q.T.?! So very, very cute. Gawd.
(Plus the new layout makes me want to buy my own domain.)

aww, that is so sweet! your mum was only 22 when she married? wow! i am 21 now… should i feel stressed? i am so glad they are still together! my parents’ silver wedding will be next year, 2005. they got married in april 1980.
