Screw rationality.

Me: We’re human. We’re not rational. We do stupid, stupid things because we’re not rational. We care, and so we do the illogical. And there are no apologies to be made or guilt to be had over it. That’s just the way of things.
Him: oh.
So in the middle of talking some sense into a old, self-deprecating friend, it occurs to me that I’d be wise to listen to myself. I’ve been on a rationality trip the past couple days, and all it does is make me feel soulless.
Just the opposite with me…I’ve been on a major soul-searching expedition these past month and a half, and it’s been a really amazing experience; I’ve learned oodles about myself and my desires. The only problem is that I feel like I’m losing touch with reality.
