I have a date tomorrow. Er, tonight.

  3. As much as I adore Trent, no, it’s not him.

He’s a guy I’ve known for a long time, who once told me he liked me from the moment he first saw me, waiting for the bus stop on the first day of eigth grade. And we never actaully went out any “real” dates because either I was dating someone or he was on with his off-and-on girlfriend, and…six years later…here we are.

  4. ahhhh, and now the e-dance. To tell or not to tell about the existence of your blog?

Tell, and in the back of your mind, you know he’s reading all your posts, so you’ll feel bad writing about how much of an ass he is, or how he had an ugly annoying piece of food stuck in his teeth all night.

Don’t tell, and you’ve got a dirty little secret, divulging both your personal lives for all the world to see. Then when you get married in 5 years, he’ll find you hovered over your computer at 3 a.m. posting about whatever. You’ll have to tell him that the whole world knows everything about you two, then he’ll get angry, want a divorce, and a court cease and desist order against all mention of him in your blog.

So basically you have to decide whether or not you’re getting married on the first date.

    Good Luck!

  5. I always tell. Or if I don’t tell, I don’t talk about it with any detail here.

And, uh, I don’t think we’re getting married.

  6. LOL at Kyle

That was an interesting way of putting it.

    Anyway, good luck!

  7. Oh, man I bet that you two would have been adorable to see. If you go out again we should double date, so I will have something to do on the weekend besides watch David play Final Fantasy 6 and nap. Because that is ALL we EVER do. Plus I have never been on a double date, and my teenage years are rapidly drawing to a close, and I have about two months to do all of those RACOUS TEENAGE THINGS you’re supposed to do, or something.

  8. Oh, man, that was a self-centered comment. Sorry. I forgot to add “Yay for your date going well!” and “Yay for your date not being with a creepazoid!”. But, you know: Rae + Talking About Rae = Tru Luv 4Eva.

  9. [...] then a nice guy asked me out. Over email, in fact. Some guy who’d been commenting on my blog for years. And I ran over and told my columnist friend and she thought I was a freak for considering it. I [...]
