Ugly Sweaters

Dear Clothing Manufacturers,

Please stop making ugly clothes. Especially ugly sweaters. My aunt doesn’t know any better and she continually buys really ugly sweaters and/or ill-fitting animal print shirts, without fail, every Christmas for my sisters and I.

Whitney and I were spared this year and actually got decent sweaters. I give you no credit for this. It was undoubtedly divine intervention.

Caroline, however, got the worst sweater I’ve seen in quite some time. People should know better than to buy my sweet, funky little sister a sweater that no one over the age of two could get away with.

If you continue to make really, really ugly clothing — as I suspect you will — please consider marking it with a warning. Something to the effect of “May not be suitable for all gift recipients” would be appropriate.

Thank you,

Katie

  1. While you’re at it, stop making Snoopy socks.

  2. Haha! Right on! My grandmother finally got the hint and stopped trying to buy us stylish clothes. If she buys us clothes at all it’s usually just a plain black, practical sweater. Phew.
