Death to Pop Ups

I just saw a pop-up window with an ad for a pop-up killer.

This needs to end.

Freecell Woes

I used to think I was too good for Freecell.

Then I became addicted.

Please, find me another time-wasting game before Freecell consumes my soul.

Note to Justin: Besides Diablo 2.

Changing Classes

28
Aug
2002

Today I waited in the longest line I have ever waited in: The Add/Drop line at the registrars office. You see, in a school with 27,000 students, there are a lot of people who want to change their schedules.

And I was one of them.

Lessons I have learned thus far:

  1. Do not pick your classes solely by what has the most spots open on the Open Class List.
  2. Do not enroll in a class you aren’t really interested in just because you think it would make your mom really proud if you took it.
  3. Do not hesistate to drop a class just because on the walk back from class, you have a small chance of running into that guy who thinks you’re cute.
  4. Talk to a friggin’ advisor. You don’t know all the answers, stupid.
  5. If you take more credit hours than your scholarship covers, you better know how to take care of getting those extra hours paid.

But really, I’m having a great time. Life is good.

Oh, great.

You know, after the first day of classes, I thought this was going to be cool.

After four days, I realize that the on the first day, the teachers were just bluffing. They really are just as boring, incoherent, and unstimulating as I’d dreaded — not the humorous, hip, clever folks they pretended to be last week.

But, you know, I really shouldn’t complain considering the price tag.

It’s Been Too Long Since My Last Rant

25
Aug
2002

You know what I just love? When stuck-up little IB students think that since they’re in IB, they’re enlightened and have a right to:

  1. Engage me in a religious debate minutes after I stumble out of bed on a weekend morning.
  2. Make me define agnostic because they are too stupid to already know what it means and too lazy to investigate anything for themselves.
  3. Insult my beliefs before they even have an inkling of what I truly do believe.
  4. Tell me that what I believe is “no fun.”
  5. Tell me that I’m going to hell.
  6. Refer to me as “babe” immediately after notifying me of my damnation.
  7. Act like a prick while explaining their personal “unorthodox” spin on Christianity [which sounds like it completely conflicts with Christian teachings], which coming from anyone else would sound like the result of hallucinogenic drugs because it doesn’t make a shred of sense.
  8. Quickly sign off before I have the change to ask them how they got that stick shoved so far up their asses.

The rest of the time, they just lament about how impossible it is for them to get a date. The change of pace is nice, if nothing else.
